At Elite Martial Arts Academy we believe it is our responsibility to provide the opportunity for the mental and physical development of each student.

Opportunities should be provided for individual growth according to ability, aptitude, interest and need. It is our belief that the three primary purposes of martial arts training are:
|
| 1. To encourage the student to develop mentally and physically so that he/she will achieve within the confines of his/her potential. |
| 2. To help the student develop social leadership skills so that he/she will willingly accept his/her obligations to live cooperatively with his/her fellow citizens, and to encourage the student to develop functionally so that he/she might have a basis for becoming a contributing member of his/her society. |
3. We further believe that within our programs, the cultivation of peace is important and that the right to feel safety is guaranteed to all members of our society. We believe that our programs must have the flexibility that is necessary to meet the ever-changing physical and mental conditions, the resultant emerging needs of individuals, and the complex problems of a constantly shrinking world. As in all Martial Arts, ethics are of great importance. One can look at individual ethics, treat a fellow-man right, or one can look at social ethics, as part of a whole. Ethics basically all comes down to one point, the difference between 'good' and 'evil'. We practice Martial Arts, often seen as an aggressive sport, but does this mean that we can be aggressive? Do we want to be aggressive? The answer is NO!
Martial Arts is not a destructive and aggressive sport, but a sportive one. |
| As we see it, taking part in a competition is not to hurt your opponent, but to test your strength, in both physical and mental ways. Students can improve themselves physically and mentally by training. The final goal is to achieve harmony with nature and oneself. A true student knows how to behave in all situations. In our opinion, Martial Arts is not only a way to improve your skills of self defense, but it is a way of life. Practicing gives the student more self-confidence. |
